Description; Massive, armor plated, armed with clubs and axes, the Battlers are formidable creatures. With one blow, they can shatter skulls and crush all but the mightiest of amour. These beasts where designed to endure pro-longed assaults, and can even act as a shield towards other Dek’Vorhs, who can hide behind their massive bulk. They are rare, as there have been few sightings of these monstrosities, most are seem in the thick of battle, guarding the Queen, or patrolling around the Hive. The beasts are clad in thick, massive amour, which can turn away almost any attack.

Body structure; The Battlers have thick, earthy skin, covered in bumps and boils. Their necks jut out at odd angles, giving them a dim-witted look. They have short, squat legs, which give them excellent balance. They can also reach great speeds, and able to smash through walls with their massive momentum, but makes it difficult for the creature to stop. The monsters toes are thick, and wide, with heavy nails. Arms are long and heavily muscled, capable of picking up huge wedges of stone, and they can even tear doors clean off. They have wide hands, with strong fingers and sharp slicing claws. They have vast, square shoulders, which are hunched up. Their tails are thick and fat, and can be used as a flail. Thick heavy jaws are spring-loaded with enough muscle to crush bone, and sharp tusks are capable of penetrating armor. All of the Battlers have strong, curling rams horns, which they can use to ram people, and break down walls.

Characteristics; These beasts are battle lusting monsters, who enjoy fights. Unlike their brethren, however, they are incredibly stupid. They can get easily confused if their prey runs in circles around them, cause the beasts to become dizzy and over balance. They do not ‘rowl’ as other Dek’Vorhs do, instead they usually remain completely stationary, and drool. Battlers are also used as ’erches’ for flying types, their impressively broad shoulders easy landing spots for their winged companions. Even some of the smaller and younger grounded troops sometimes clamber up on them, like energetic, deranged children. Battlers lack the ‘enraged’ blood-lust while not in the battle field. Some Dek’Vorhs remain in this ’zone’ even while out of battle, fidgeting and snarling excessively. However, it takes a lot to hype up a Battler, usually a full-fledged war brawl can send their rage to the fore. After battle, the monsters, usually having killed the strongest opponent, and they let lose an ear splitting bellow which is like a clarion call for their race, and their peal of hate and blood lust.

Strengths; These creatures have colossal strength, and their thick armor, both wearable and natural growing, means they can resist a large amount of attacks. Their massive bulk provide an excellent shield for comrades, helping the Dek’Vorhs survival rate. The angle of their heads mean their neck cannot be broken. They have a great source of smell, able to sniff out their prey, as good as a dogs. They have a very high endurance, and can sustain prolonged battle. On blow from their clubs can snap necks and shatter armor.

Weaknesses; The one thing that make the Battler stands apart from other Dek’Vorh is their sheer, utter stupidity. They run into walls, and sometimes trip over their own feet if they move too quickly. People can easily sneak past a Battler, with a simple disguise like some leaves, or even a card-board box. Their eyes are relatively weak and can be used as a ‘bullet point’, and blind them. The monsters size mean they cannot get into small areas, and sometimes get stuck in door ways.

Dietary; Battlers tend to eat bone, more then meat and flesh. They typically smash their victims, until they cannot move, then devour the majority of the body, sometimes leaving the organs.
